Dukes of the Game: Kirkendoll, Bassindale

Nights like this make it difficult to pick just one player of the game, with many noteworthy performances by our Blue Dukes. So I will recognize two players, one on defense and one on offense.

Duke of the Game on Defense: Michael Kirkendollkirkendoll

Michael Kirkendoll‘s two interceptions while playing a new position on defense, along with multiple hard- hitting tackles, make the two-way starter the defensive Player of the Game. Michael’s performance helped keep the Bulldogs out of the end zone for the entire game, Kirkendoll added a thrilling 61-yard touchdown on offense, demonstrating this senior’s big play ability.

Duke of the Game on Offense: Bo Bassindalebassindale

Bo Bassindale is the offensive Player of the Game. Cedarburg’s game plan was to stop Bay’s potent passing attack. Bay countered with dynamic running by Bassindale, who delivered the tough yards needed to keep the Bulldogs honest. His ability to follow his linemans’ blocks and use his speed to turn a corner, resulted in 2 TDs and 80 rushing yards, almost matching Cedarburg’s total running game.
