It was one for the history books, and the fans went wild!

The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes blanked their arch rival Homestead on Thursday night, delivering an embarrassing 26-0 TV loss to the defending North Shore Conference title holder.

QB Cade Garcia moved the chains up and down the field with little serious resistance, throwing for 277 yards which included two touchdown spirals to WR/DB Alex Anthony and RB/DB Bo Bassindale. Anthony had 132 yards receiving for the night, followed by WR/DB Case Fleck (41 yards) and Bassindale with 40 yards.

On the ground, RB/LB Patrick Nau rushed for 44 of the Dukes 90 total yards with Garcia and Bassindale adding the remaining 46 yards.

Senior P/K Zach Lichosik put the icing on the Dukes win with four flawless field goals, which included a 41 yard kick at the end of the first half that gave Bay a 20-0 lead.

If Garcia’s air assault wasn’t enough to contend with, Homestead also faced a hard hitting defense led by Seniors WB/DL Brady Weas, OL/DL Jordan Riley and OL/DL Noah Ailing. The Dukes D held the Highlanders to 132 yards rushing, 128 yards in receptions and forced five turnovers over the course of the game.

Next Up: The undefeated Dukes take on West Bend East at Lubar Field on Sept. 22, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
