Dukes Swash Buckle Pirates 42-23

The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes Varsity added another “W” to their 2017 record with a convincing 42-23 away victory over Port Washington on Friday night.

Senior RB/DB Bo Bassindale had 17 carries for 192 yards and two touchdowns, averaging over 11 yards per carry. All told, Bassindale was responsible for the bulk of Bay’s 267 total yards rushing. Senior QB Cade Garcia added to an outstanding night in the air by running in 22 yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter before Bassindale sealed the Dukes’ victory with a final TD in the last 1:40 of the game.

Garcia’s air assault against the Pirates saw him completing 9 passes on 16 attempts for 144 yards and three touchdowns. He connected with WR/DB Alex Anthony four times for 84 total yards, and sailed three passes to WR/DB Case Fleck for 58 yards.

The Dukes defense held Port Washington to 259 yards on 49 rushing attempts, and WR/DB Russell Enea picked up an interception.
