Kyle Heller

Assistant Coach

Kyle Heller knows what it feels like to be a champion, and offers demonstrated experience, motivation and true enthusiasm to his players as an assistant coach for the Dukes Junior Varsity.

Kyle began his journey to the Dukes’ sideline as a four-year starter at Appleton West High School, which set the stage for his success on the college gridiron. In 2009, the freshman defensive back helped the UW Whitewater Warhawks to win their second NCAA Division III National Championship under Head coach Lance Leipold.

Heller then transferred to UW Oshkosh, and played as a defensive back for the Titans, contributing to the team’s first WIAC title in 36 years. The Titans posted an impressive 13-1 record for the 2012 season, and fell just one game short of a national appearance in the Stagg Bowl.

After college, Heller remained in Oshkosh, and ultimately became an assistant coach at Oshkosh West High School from 2013-2014.

Kyle truly prizes his role in developing the young men of the Whitefish Bay’s community, but knows that, if they want to become conference champions, each player must commit to the sage advice of famed University of Alabama Head Coach Bear Bryant.

“It’s not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.”
