Caspari Commits to University of St. Thomas
- Updated: January 16, 2017

Congratulations to Chris Caspari, who has committed to playing for University of St. Thomas in St. Paul Minnesota.
Caspari, who was also considering two other Division 2 schools in Minnesota as well as Valparaiso in Indiana and Dayton University on Ohio, said his decision turned on his positive experiences during visits to the school.
“They really made me feel like the team was truly a family where the coaches care about their players like they were their own kids,” Caspari said. “Also the fact they are a national championship contender every year didn’t hurt!”
St. Thomas, which had an overall record of 12-1 in the 2016 season, lost to UW Oshkosh in the NCAA Division III Championship Quarterfinal.
Although he was recruited by St. Thomas to play tight end, Caspari is hopeful he’ll be able to demonstrate to his coaches that he has the ability to play at other positions, too.
“I could see myself playing some wing back similar to the position that I played my senior year,” Caspari remarked.
