The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes improved their season record to 3-0 by handing the Cedarburg Bulldogs a 21-35 loss under the lights at Lubar Stadium on Friday night.
The story of the night was the Dukes offense led by RB Drew Garcia, who would finish game with 193 yards on 24 carries and a pair of touchdowns. However, he wasn’t without a supporting cast. RB Michael Kauffman put up 22 yards rushing, and nailed 3 points in after kicks. QB Jayden Jackson rushed for 44 yards, and RB Grover Bortollotti ran for 13 yards and a TD.
The Bulldogs inability to narrow the gap was due to an aggressive Dukes D, which played with a merciless, unforgiving swagger throughout the game, derailing the Bulldog’s air game at every turn and forcing 5 turnovers. DB Jayden Jackson snagged two interceptions, running one in for a TD, and LB Nick Jorndt, DB Byron Burrows and DB Grover Bortollotti each picked off forlorn passes from QB Jake Leair with Burrows running in his interception for a TD in the 3rd quarter.
