The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes advanced to the third round of the WIAA Boys Football Tournament on Friday night with a 35-0 win over fourth-seeded Plymouth.

Undaunted by the cold wind blowing through Lubar Stadium, QB Cade Garcia threw 6-of-9 for 105 yards, connecting with WR/DB Case Fleck for a touchdown in the first quarter. Garcia would go on to plow through the Plymouth line for a TD in second quarter.

It was the Dukes prowess on the ground that had the crowd cheering between shivers. RB/LB Patrick Nau was unstoppable with 149 yards rushing, which included a breathtaking 52-yard touchdown to finish out the first quarter. RB/DB Bo Bassindale, who put up 27 yards rushing for the game, ran in his own TD only minutes before.

The Dukes defense held Plymouth to 132 total yards and 19 yards rushing, and WR/DB Case Fleck ran in a 39-yard interception in the second quarter to make the score 35-0.

Next Up: The Dukes return to Lubar Stadium to face second-seeded Greendale (9-2) on Nov. 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
