Running back Drew Garcia racked up four touchdowns to help the Whitefish Blue Dukes Varsity to a crushing 35-7 victory over the Nicolet Knights in Bay’s season opener at Lubar Stadium on Aug. 23, 2019.

Garcia burned up 199 yds of turf for the night, averaging 8yds per carry and running in touchdowns in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters. QB/DB Jayden Jackson added a touchdown half way through the 3rd quarter, and then muscled his way through the Nicolet defensive for a two point conversion.

Touchdowns don’t make it to seven without consistent kicking, and Kicker Michael Kauffman didn’t disappoint, making all three of his extra point attempts.

The Dukes D held the Knights offense to 45yds rushing and 125yds passing with four turnovers. RB/DB Grover Bortolotti and RB/LB Patrick Muth intercepted passes by Nicolet QB Carson Trimborn, and OL/DL Caleb Bowers recovered a fumble after a bad snap by the Knights in the 3rd quarter.
