Orioles Crush Dukes

The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes were overwhelmed by the Hartford Orioles Friday night at Lubar Stadium, suffering a crushing 49-7 defeat. The loss leaves Bay at 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
It was all Hartford from the opening kickoff, scoring on their first possession en route to a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. They would tack on three more scores in the second quarter and hand the Blue Dukes a running clock before halftime and a 35-0 lead at the break.
The Dukes would score their lone touchdown of the night to open the third quarter. On 4th and 8 from the Hartford 18, Ben Volpe found Sean Callahan in the endzone on a vertical route to make it 35-7 with 3:59 remaining in the third quarter.
Callahan led the Dukes D with 6 total tackles, while Eric Peck and Harry Bortolotti each tallied 5.
