The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes shutout the West Bend East Suns in the rain on Friday, 28-0.  They move to 3-1 in the North Shore Conference, one game back of first-place Hartford, and 4-2 overall.

The Dukes started their scoring on their third drive of the first quarter.  After a bruising 38-yard run by junior running back Sean Callahan, quarterback Luke Wells called his own number from 1-yard out with 1:16 remaining.  Facing a 3rd & 14 on their next drive, running back Nigel Cheeks delivered a huge 10-yard gain that set the stage for a 25-yard touchdown pass from Wells to Kamarion Ivory on 4th down.  Aleks Sauer-Milli hit a 36-yard field goal with 11 seconds left in the first half to give Bay a 15-0 lead going into the break.

The Dukes D forced a turnover on downs to start the 2nd half, and then Cheeks needed all of 3 carries to push the score to 22-0 early in the 3rd quarter.  After runs of 10 and 6 yards to start the drive, the senior running back followed left guard Joe Stockwell around the right end for a 33-yard touchdown, his 5th rushing score of the year.  Cheeks would finish the night with a team-high 138 yards on just 18 carries.

Early in the 4th quarter, Reid Jamerson intercepted a Suns pass that would set up the Dukes last score of the game.  Callahan capped off a 5 minute, 8-play drive by rushing in from 4-yards out and putting the final nail in the coffin.  Callahan, making his first career start, rushed 13 times for 108 yards, an average of 8.3 yards per carry.

The Dukes D turned in their best performance of the year, holding West Bend to just 189 total yards and allowing only 1 third-down conversation in 13 attempts.  Linebacker Michael Strecansky added an interception in the 2nd quarter that led to the Sauer-Milli field goal, and also led the team with 10 tackles in the game.  Senior linebacker Riley Ronanye, who has been stepping up in crucial spots the past few weeks, had a career-high 8 tackles.
