- Updated: September 25, 2017
Before the start of the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes vs West Bend East game, the Whitefish Bay Dukes organization proudly honored Carl Fuda for his passionate support of the Whitefish Bay football program.
During his playing days, Carl excelled as a defensive end, and wore number 77 for Bogan High School in Chicago and also as a player at St. Norbert College in Green Bay.
In appreciation for all his work on behalf of Whitefish Bay Football, Carl was presented with a commemorative Blue Dukes Jersey by current President of Jr Dukes, Mike Bortolotti, and Head Varsity Coach Jake Wolter.
Avid Supporter
In 2001, Carl began coaching Jr Dukes football under then Head Coach Rob Rinka. Two years later, he took-over as President of the Jr Dukes, and ran the program until 2014 working closely with his friend and former Head Varsity Coach Jim Tietjen.
Today, Carl still remains involved by helping to coach the freshman football team.
In addition to coaching, Carl has been a primary figure in the fundraising activities for all the turf fields in the community, including the football and baseball stadiums at Whitefish Bay High School.
Vince Lombardi once said:
“Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.”
On behalf of the entire Whitefish Bay community and Blue Dukes Football we thank Carl for all his efforts and contributions to promoting athletics and the development of the Whitefish Bay football program.
