Dukes Shutout Owls, 10-0

The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes moved to 4-0 on the 2020 season with a 10-0 victory over the Slinger Owls with the staunch Blue Dukes Defense delivering a shutout for the second consecutive week.
A true team effort with standout performances by Nose Tackle Reid Jamerson and Linebackers Heath Oberg and Aaron Ghilardi, the Dukes D played lights out and made Slinger earn every yard. Senior Safety Byron Burrows intercepted his second pass on the season. The hard-hitting, gritty defense continues to give opposing offenses fits. They extended their scoreless streak to 8 quarters in the victory, holding Slinger to 191 yards of total offense and 30 yards rushing on 23 attempts.
For the third game in a row, Grover Bortolotti delivered a monster performance for the offense. The Senior running back was a workhorse to the tune of 192 yards on 28 carries. He found the end zone in the first quarter from 27 yards out for his 6th touchdown of the season. Kicker Jacob Donovan sealed the win with a 20 yard field goal with 2:19 left in the game. The offense went 4-for-5 on 4th Down conversions and won the Time of Possession battle for the 4th game in the row.
