The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes fell to 2-3 (1-2) through five weeks as they were no match for the West Bend East Suns at Lubar Stadium Friday night for Homecoming. The 27-7 loss for the Blue Dukes was their third loss at home as they have yet to win a game at Lubar this season.
The Dukes D was able to force a fumble on the Suns’ first possession of the game but after that it was all West Bend East. The Suns built a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter and never looked back.
The Blue Dukes were able to cut the deficit to 14-7 before the half on a Ben Volpe 5-yard touchdown run, but that would be the only time they’d find the endzone all night. Bay was held to just 137 total yards of offense and turned it over three times while converting 1 of 12 Third Down Conversions.
Defensively, junior safety Ryan Scarlett registered 12 total tackles, 9 of which were solo.
