The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes stood ready to face the West Bend East Suns on Friday night, but, after mother nature drenched the North Shore with an autumn rain, the Suns returned on Saturday morning to deliver Bay a 17-7 loss.

Dukes backup QB Jack Stecker did his best to keep the Dukes in the game, scoring Bay’s only TD in the 2nd quarter and racking up 120 yds on 11 carries. Frustrated by the Suns D throughout the game, RB Drew Garcia was only able to put up 87 yards rushing, and gave up a fumble that allowed the Suns to break a 7-7 tie deep into the 3rd quarter.

The Dukes D hard their hands full with RB Brady Schmidt and the Suns ground game. Schmidt ran for 106 yards on 22 attempts, and his efforts were complemented by WR Daniel Krause, who caught three passes for a total of 25 yards.
