Dukes Top Bulldogs, 40-23

The Blue Dukes offense couldn’t be stopped in their 40-23 win over the Bulldogs, scoring on their first six possessions. The victory moved the Blue Dukes to 2-0 on the season.
Quarterback Jack Stecker led a potent attack that went for 409 total yards and held the ball for 25 minutes. Stecker was 6 for 8 in the air for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns to go along with 5 carries for 31 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He connected with Jack Nau four times for 60 yards, one of which was a touchdown. Grover Bortolotti went for 151 yards on 17 carries for an average of 8.9 yards and two touchdowns. Stecker also took another screen pass to house from 56-yards out. Running Back Nigel Cheeks added 71 yards on 10 carries with a touchdown for the Dukes, who were up 33-3 at the end of the third quarter.
Defensively, Linebacker Nick Jordnt and Nose Tackle Reid Jamerson both recorded sacks for the tenacious Blue Dukes Defense, with Bortolotti picking off a Bulldogs pass.
