The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes faced little competition in Friday night’s game against West Bend End East, routing the Suns 44-7 and advancing their season record to 6-0.

Senior QB Cade Garcia threw four touch downs and 15 completions for a total of 211 yards, averaging just over 14 yards per pass. Senior WR/DB Maurice David Lee III was his favorite target, connecting with him three times for 133 yards and three touch downs. Garcia also hit WR/DB Alex Anthony early in the 2nd quarter for a 12-yard TD.

Leading Bay’s ground assault was Senior RB/LB Patrick Nau with 65 yards total and one TD, followed by fellow Senior WR/DB Case Fleck with a touchdown and 47 yards total. RB/DB Bo Bassindale also ran for 42 yards, contributing to Bay’s 189 yards rushing on the night.

Touchdowns always need that important finishing touch, and, once again, P/K Zack Lichosik was flawless, sending the Dukes extra points and a 23 yard field goal attempt in the third quarter through the uprights.

Adding to the Suns’ misery was the Dukes defense, which was unyielding in its pressure and tenacity. Seniors WB/DL Brady Weas and Tommy Brunner slammed through the offense to deliver key sacks, and Weas and Junior WR/DB Russell Enea both picked up interceptions.
