Dukes Battle Homestead to 42-20 Finish

Whitefish Bay may have fallen 42-20 to arch rival Homestead on Friday night, but the final score failed to capture the Dukes offensive tenacity under the lights in Mequon.
RB/DB Drew Garcia was a true standout on offense, exploding out the backfield for 107 yards on 19 carries and three touchdowns. He also racked up 48 yards on 5 receptions, ran back at 29 yard kick in the 4th quarter and drove thru an 11 yard touchdown as the clock ran out.
But it just wasn’t enough to best the Highlanders, who frustrated the Dukes D with an air and ground assault led by QB Emory Weeden, who threw 3 TDs and logged 100 yards total rushing with a touchdown. Weeden’s evening would have been near perfect had it not been for an interception picked off by the Dukes WR/DB Karon Lever.
